Bouyon band owner Asa Bantan put Dominican and Bouyon music on the map Thursday night when he won the People’s Choice Award at the 2024 Caribbean Music Awards.
Asa Bantan beat Soca superstar Kes, Patrice Roberts, Skinny Fabulous, dancehall superstar Dexter Daps, Shenseea and Yung Breda to win the award.

Meanwhile, Mr. Ridge won the Bouyon Artist of the Year Award, beating out TK International, Asa Bantan, Reo, Kenny G and others.
