In Bologna, the Carabinieri of the Radio Mobile Unit arrested a 29-year-old man of Polish origin, convicted of serial attempted aggravated thefts and of no fixed abode. The operation began following a report from a citizen who, alerted by suspicious sounds, noticed a man dressed in black trying to forcibly close a commercial enterprise in Corticella Street.
A short time later, the 29-year-old was seen approaching some cars parked nearby and managed to open the doors and get inside to try and find items of value.
The military soon arrived at the scene and stopped the man as he left on his bicycle. Although he did not steal anything, he was found in possession of burglary tools, including pliers, hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers and work gloves. All materials were confiscated and the man was arrested.
After the direct verdict, the arrest was effective and the precautionary measure of residence ban in the metropolitan area of Bologna was imposed on the 29-year-old. He was subsequently released.
