Bishop Allan Kiuna of the Jubilee Christian Church (JCC) has died of cancer.
News of his death broke on social media on Monday afternoon.
Earlier this year, Bishop Kiuna revealed that he had spent much of 2023 battling cancer in the United States but was cancer-free and back home.
At the ceremony to welcome Kiuna back home, Kiuna was greeted by a large number of fans and the public at the airport, where his family also arrived, including his wife Kathy Kiuna.
In the church, people shouted ‘Daddy is back’ to welcome the bishop.
Coincidentally, it was his 57th birthday and their 29th wedding anniversary, and Kiuna took the opportunity to talk about the incredible journey they have been on.
He went on to reveal that they have spent over Sh380 million on treatment at today’s exchange rate.
“My treatment in the US for that year cost $3 million and I didn’t spend a penny because it was a gift from God. I didn’t call anyone,” he revealed.
It is not clear when the cancer will return.
