Bihar woman was brutally murdered in Bengaluru, police suspect love affair

A tragedy occurred at a PG accommodation facility in Koramangala area of ​​Bengaluru when a 24-year-old Bihar woman, Kriti Kumari, was brutally murdered late on Tuesday night. Kriti Kumari worked in a private company in Bengaluru and had recently moved into VR Layout PG in Koramangala.

According to reports, the attackers entered the PG building around 11:10 to 11:30 pm and went to Kriti Kumari’s room on the third floor. The attackers, armed with knives, allegedly strangled her to death. The incident came to light when other residents heard the commotion in her room and alerted the authorities.

Koramangala police immediately launched a thorough investigation after reaching the spot. Deputy Commissioner of Police Raman Gupta confirmed that a case had been registered and said the victim knew the perpetrators. He added that the police were working to arrest the suspects who are currently at large.

Police sources revealed that three special teams have been formed to hunt down the suspect. They are sifting through Kriti Kumari’s mobile phone records, including call details, and going through CCTV footage from PG premises. Investigators are also gathering information about the victim’s recent activities and interactions.

Initial investigations suggest that the crime could be love-related. It is suspected that Kriti Kumari was killed by a young man she was dating. Kriti Kumari reportedly escorted the young man into the PG around 11:30 pm on Tuesday. It appears that Kriti Kumari entered a room with the young man after returning from dinner. Later, they had a conflict in the room, which led to the suspected murder.

The young woman had reportedly just joined PG and the accused helped her with her luggage when she arrived two days ago. When questioned by the security guard, the accused allegedly identified himself as her brother and allowed him entry on the pretext of arranging a quick departure.
