WASHINGTON: U.S. President Joe Biden on Friday overruled Congress’ disapproval of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s announcement on accounting for crypto assets.
“This Republican-led resolution, which invokes the Congressional Review Act, would inappropriately limit the SEC’s ability to enact appropriate guardrails and address future issues,” Biden said in a statement released by the White House.
