Park Bo-kyum overwhelmed the stretch… and tied for the lead with the most wins
“I also want to do well in big competitions.”

Bae So-hyun won the 13th KG Women’s Open (total prize money of 800 million won) on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf (KLPGA) Tour after a fierce battle until the third overtime.
In the last three rounds of the tournament held at Sunning Point CC (72 strokes) in Yongin City, Gyeonggi Province on the 1st, Bae So-hyun caught six birdies and had one bogey, shooting a score of 67 strokes, 5 strokes under par.
Bae Su-hyun eventually entered the playoff with Park Bo-kyum at 14 under par, 202 strokes, and Park Bo-kyum tied for the lead.
In the first and second playoff rounds on the 18th hole (5 strokes), Bae So-hyun and Park Bo-kyum both made birdies and were unable to establish a clear advantage.
The third overtime was a mixture of joy and sorrow for both players, with Bae Su-hyun making a birdie and Park Bo-gum making par.
Bae So-hyun won her third victory of the season following the E1 Charity Open and the Paradise Masters. She tied for first place with Park Ji-young, Lee Ye-won, and Park Hyun-kyung (3 wins this season) for the most wins and received a championship prize of 144 million won.
Bae Su-hyun said after the game: “I tried to sleep as much as possible yesterday because my body was under a lot of stress during the first and second rounds. Sufficient sleep helped, and I’m glad I was able to win today in good shape,” he said. “I had a good feel for the ball at every important moment, and I managed to save par putts and keep the flow of the game going well. “Putting was the driving force behind today’s victory,” he said.
Regarding the fight for multiple wins, he said: “I am very grateful to have won three games this season and to have been in the fight for multiple wins. The other players are also great players, so it means a lot to be able to play together.”
Pei Suxian, who has been making great strides and accumulating victories, is moving towards his next goal. He said, “I haven’t won the fourth round yet, so my goal is to win the fourth round. “I hope to achieve good results in major competitions in the future.” He said.
Park Bo-kyum tasted her first victory at the Gyochon Women’s Open in May last year, but suffered a setback in overtime and failed to secure her second victory on tour.
Kim Sae-ro-mi and Lee Je-young tied for third place with a score of 203, 13 strokes under par.
Park Ji-young, who failed to become the only leader to win multiple times, finished tied for 5th place (12 under par, 204 strokes), Lee Ye-won finished tied for 7th place (11 under par, 205 strokes), and Park Hyun-kyung finished tied for 18th place (8 under par, 208 strokes).
