Artist Toumani Diabaté died on Friday, July 19, at the age of 58, at the Golden Life Clinic, where he had been hospitalized for several days. Toumani Diabaté was a renowned kora player, born into a famous family of ballad singers, and twice won a Grammy Award for his collaboration with Ali Farka Touré.
