Ali Hashim was removed as MMA governor.
The Director General of the Maldives Monetary Authority, Ali Hashim, removed Mr. Mohammed Muizzu, in consultation with Parliament under the Maldives Monetary Authority Act.
Ahmed Munawwar is appointed as the Director General of the Maldives Monetary Authority pursuant to Section 6(3) of Act No. 81/6 (the Maldives Monetary Authority Act). The 2017 World Cup is scheduled to be held in the United Kingdom on October 10-11. Ahmed Munawwar, former Minister of Finance. He is currently the Advisor to the Minister of Finance.
