Air Moldova suspends flights to Bangladesh

The national carrier has temporarily stopped flights to Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Air Moldova said it would suspend flights to Dhaka from August 6 and the date for resuming flights would be announced later.

Air Moldova has suspended flights to Bangladesh due to the ongoing unrest in the country. As protests and unrest escalated, Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned and left the country.

Bangladesh is one of the few international destinations that Maldivian Airways flies to. The airline operates weekly flights to Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Maldivian Airways currently operates international flights to Bangladesh, Trivandrum, Cochin and Bengaluru.
