Libreville, Sunday, July 21, 2024 (Infos Gabon) – More than 300 participants from international and regional organizations in the aviation sector, as well as senior officials from the sector, gathered in Libreville from July 15 to 19 to celebrate the ninth edition of the AFI Week, the aviation show.
The AFI Regional Directors General of Civil Aviation Conference was held in Libreville to review the latest developments in the field of civil aviation and the evolution of aviation performance in all ICAO strategic plans, priorities for the AFI region and issues related to capacity building in the region.
Participants also discussed progress made in the areas of aviation safety, flight optimization, air transport facilitation and safety, civil aviation economic development, and environmental protection.
This major event provided a platform for dialogue and reflection on strategic issues for the sub-regional aviation industry. In addition, other meetings were organized, including the 27th AFI Programme Steering Committee Meeting and the 13th AFI-SECFAL Programme Steering Committee Meeting, the AFI Regional Aviation Symposium, and special meetings of the AFI Regional Tiered Groups and Regional Safety Implementation Groups.
