“On social media, everything seems to be over between them. But do you think Naveen will still respect Kohli? What about the youngsters who see big stars abusing others?” Mishra said on Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast ‘Unplugged’.
Naveen, who currently plays for Texas Super Kings in Major League Cricket, reiterated that his relationship with Virat is good and the clash in the Indian Premier League was just a “spur of the moment” incident.
“It was just a passionate moment during the match, nothing personal. Both me and Virat Kohli have forgotten about it, in the ODI World Cup, we finished the match, hugged each other and moved on. But these days social media makes these things happen constantly,” Naveen said in a video shared by TX Super Kings.

Mishra, one of the best batsmen in the Indian Premier League, revealed that Virat had abused many LSG players during the IPL 2023 match, allegedly because Gautam GambhirMaking the ‘finger on lips’ gesture during the reverse match in Bengaluru.
“He started abusing our players (in the LSG-RCB rematch in Lucknow). He had no grudge against Kyle Mayers but he abused him too. When Naveen-ul-Haq bowled, he abused him too. A lot of things could have been avoided but Kohli chose not to do it,” said the former India leg-spinner.
Kohli himself has not said anything on the matter yet.
