A case has been registered against a motorcyclist who was found riding a child without a helmet.

The Baranovichi interregional department of the Investigative Committee is investigating the circumstances of the accident in which a young child was injured.

According to reports Bella Pan Dmitry Ivanyuk, an official representative of the Brest Regional Investigative Committee, said that at about 13:20 on November 11, in the village of Pavlinovo, Baranovichi District, a 28-year-old Baranovichi resident was riding his Irbis motorcycle with a third-grade passenger. A young man came to the village to visit a friend, and the boy asked to ride the motorcycle for him.

Neither the driver nor the passenger wore a motorcycle helmet. During the trip, an eight-year-old boy from the village of Pavlinovo Injured from falling off a motorcycleclassified as serious. He was hospitalized in the Baranovichi City Hospital.

The Baranovichi interdistrict department of the Investigative Committee filed a lawsuit against the motorcyclist under paragraph 2 of Article 317 of the Criminal Code (the person driving a vehicle violates traffic regulations or operates the vehicle in a way that causes negligence and causes serious bodily injury).

A car and forensic examination has been ordered in the criminal case, the suspect has been questioned, witnesses to the incident have been identified, and the cause and circumstances of the accident are being ascertained.
