The United States on Thursday banned imports from five more Chinese companies over their alleged human rights abuses against the Uighur minority, according to a government announcement, part of an effort to eliminate products produced with forced labor from American supply chains.
The target companies include Hong Kong-based Rare Earth Magnesium Technology Group Holdings Ltd and Century Sunshine Group Holdings Ltd, as well as Xinjiang Tengxian Magnesium Products Co Ltd in Xinjiang, which mainly produces magnesium fertilizer and magnesium alloy products.
