Kathmandu, July 23. Police arrested two people for theft.
The arrested are Deepak Khadka, 38, from Janakpur and Niraj Bik, 27, from Makwanpur. A team from Kathmandu District Police Complex and Maligaon police station arrested them from New Road in Mangalar in the afternoon.
They allegedly broke the lock of Raju Nepali’s tent house at Resunga Municipality-10 in Gulmiri around 3:30 pm on Monday and stole jewellery and cash.
According to the police, jewellery like three gold rings, one ring, tiara, bangles, tilhari, pauju etc. were recovered from them. The clothes and shoes worn during the theft were also recovered, and the scooter was also recovered, the police said.
