More than 10,000 Israeli soldiers have been killed since the Israeli offensive on Gaza began.
Israel’s New News reported that nearly 1,000 soldiers are transferred to the Ministry of Defense’s rehabilitation department every month. In the long-term fighting in Gaza, at least 10,000 soldiers have been killed or injured.
The newspaper criticized the Israeli parliament for not passing a law extending compulsory military service.
The mother of a soldier serving in Israel’s Nahal Brigade said there had never been anything like this in Israel’s war history. It involved soldiers fighting in enemy territory and in terrible conditions for up to 10 months.
In addition, the newspaper reported that female soldiers serving in the Israeli-occupied Syrian Golan Heights suddenly had their service extended by another four months.
