On August 5, 2024, the Isle of Man Transport Strategy was developed. Public consultation launched on this broad topic.
We are seeking feedback on the vision, principles and objectives which will inform the development of this strategy.
The aim is to develop an integrated, socially inclusive transport strategy that meets the needs of communities; keeps people connected for work, leisure and access to services; and supports the transition to net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
We are seeking participation from people across the community to help make this happen.
Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall MHK said:
“From today we will be consulting on the key principles of our transport strategy, with the aim of gathering views from the public to inform further development. Safety, sustainability, accessibility and fairness form the basis of the document, which aims to support economic and population growth, in line with the ambitions of this government’s roadmap, Our Islands Plan.
“I encourage as many people as possible to get involved in this exercise and provide their views, which will help further refine the strategy.”
Consultation documents can be viewed and downloaded at the Consultation Centre.
