On Monday, June 3, the first San Marino Lions Club Trophy was awarded to the best captains, Regent Alessandro Rossi II and Milena Gasperoni I, for the event that will take place next Saturday, June 8, at 9am at the Dogana Sports Facility. A brilliant speech was delivered by the Secretary of State for Sport, His Excellency Teodoro Lonfernini, who considered the initiative laudable and augurs well for the high social value projects that the San Marino Lions are implementing and will culminate next Saturday with the launch of the mixed team of male and female athletes and the Special Olympics competition at the Dogana football field, demonstrating how sport can be an extraordinary tool to spread the important value of social inclusion. The President of the San Marino Lions Club, Pietro Falcioni, then spoke, presenting the project in detail, before Bruno Muccioli, Vice President of the San Marino Special Sports Federation, once again thanked the Lions and their former President, Silvano Di Mario, for donating the van last December, further highlighting the importance of the event in the name of solidarity and brotherhood. The hearing then ended with the moving words of the Most Excellent Captain Regent, who stressed the nobility of the intention, emphasizing the extraordinary nature of this initiative, which represents a fundamental moment to strengthen the values of social inclusion, gathering and combating any form of discrimination.

A huge thank you to the San Marino Football Federation, which has always supported and supported this event, to the San Marino Special Sports Federation and its athletes who are present and will be the protagonists of this event. All proceeds will go to support the San Marino Batisink Association, which works with passion and dedication to develop inclusive projects for children with autism or neurodevelopmental disorders.
