Kadedra Lewis wins Miss Culture 2024 Swimsuit Competition, St. Clair Rawlins wins Mr. Kool 2024 Competition

NIA Charleston Nevis Kadedra Lewis, First Miss Federal Cooperative Credit Union, was crowned Miss Cultural Swimsuit 2024, while St. Clair Rawlins, sponsored by the Nevis Cultural Development Foundation, was crowned Mr. Kool 2024.

The competition took place on Sunday, July 28 at the NEDACS Cultural Center.

Miss Lewis scored a total of 840 points on her way to the title, while Miss Caribbean Jack Nanangela Semple scored 801 points to finish first runner-up and Miss Caribbean Digital Display Shaquoya Flanders scored 781 points to finish third runner-up.

Mr. Kool of St. Clair Rawlings 2024 won the championship with 831 points. Mr. Eliesel Dorset of Nevis Tourism was the runner-up with 778 points, and Mr. Devonté Liburd of the Ministry of Agriculture was the runner-up with 720 points.

The Minister of Culture of the Government of Nevis, the Honourable Eric Evelyn, Deputy Prime Minister, congratulated the winners and other participants of the inaugural competition of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Cultural Festival.

“The Miss Culture Swimsuit and Mr. Cool competitions culminated at the complex on Sunday night and the competitions did not disappoint.

“A huge congratulations to Miss Cadera Lewis and our newest showman Mr. Cool St. Clair Rawlings. I would also like to congratulate the runner-up and all the other contestants. Without their contributions, there would be no show like this.”

The Minister of Culture thanked the Festival Subcommittee for the excellent production and also thanked the patrons for their strong support.

“The show was great from the start; the competition was fierce and it started on time. The contestants all gave their best.

“It was a production of high quality and I must congratulate the subcommittee. Kudos and congratulations to all involved for giving the sold-out audience an enjoyable and memorable evening.”

Councillor Evelyn also congratulated Nevis’ new teenage calypso monarch Mighty J, first runner-up Mighty Zen, second runner-up Lady B and third runner-up Princess Kali.

He invites the public to attend all remaining pageants and competitions and encourages people to attend all events surrounding Culturama 50.

The Republic Bank Talented Young Mr. and Miss pageant will be held on July 30 at the NEDACS Cultural Center; the SKNANB Soca Monarch competition will be held on August 1 at the Cultural Village; the TDC Senior Kaiso finals will be held on August 2 at the Cultural Center; the Nevis Bank Limited Miss Cultural Queen pageant will be held on August 4 at the Cultural Center; the Liberator Jumping Competition will be held on August 5; and the Culturama 50 Street Parade and Final Lap will be held on August 5.
