Congress approves 3 million for geothermal projects in Dominica

Parliament has approved a bill allowing the government to borrow EC$103.95 million from the International Development Association to develop a geothermal energy project in Dominica.

Energy Minister Dr Vince Henderson told Parliament today the investment would provide the government with a foundation for future growth.

Senator Delbert Parris encouraged DOMLEC to expand its involvement in geothermal resource development to help the Dominican people unlock the potential of this sustainable energy source.
