The “last generation” wants to disrupt air traffic between Vienna and Schwechat

VIENNA – The climate activist group “Last Generation” has announced a protest at Vienna Airport on Saturday. In a press release, the activists announced that they want to disrupt air traffic at airports in several countries, including Austria. Several actions have taken place at airports in German-speaking countries over the past few days.

According to the announcement, the group hopes to hold a protest in the airport entrance hall at 11 a.m. A total of 670 police officers will be on site “on high alert,” Vienna Airport board member Günther Ofner said at a press conference on Tuesday.
