Tolls will be collected on bridges and highways.
The announcement was made at the launch of the Malay Fahi project, which aims to address traffic congestion caused by increased traffic on the city’s roads.
According to the report disclosing the implementation of the plan, tolls and enforcement mechanisms will be established in consultation with all relevant state agencies to achieve sustainable maintenance of bridges and highways.
The necessary studies are said to begin in August.
The aim of the Malay Green Project is to resolve traffic congestion caused by the sharp increase in road traffic in the Malay region by finding appropriate solutions to make the roads in the Malay region a safe place for pedestrians and motorists.
The Malay Fahi scheme was designed by the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation at the initiative of President Muizul.
