Islamabad has stopped producing birth and death certificates, the Islamabad Municipal Corporation owes Nadar Rs 20 lakh and NADRA has suspended the services of MCI for non-payment of dues.
Sources said the service has been suspended due to incompetence of Islamabad Municipal Corporation as citizens of the federation have been facing closure in issuance of death and birth certificates for a week now.
Sources said that as MCI owed Nadra Rs 20 lakh, Nadra had suspended the services of MCI for non-payment of dues. Citizens were facing problems due to suspension of birth and death certificate services.
