After a week of deliberations, the Luxembourg Film Fund announced financial support for 16 new projects, including €590,000 for writing and development and €9 million for production.

The Luxembourg Film Fund selection committee met for several days last week to evaluate a total of 27 projects, and ultimately 16 projects were shortlisted and received financial support.

Nine projects will receive support for writing and development, with a total aid of €590,000. In seven projects, the fund will support production, for which a total budget of €9 million has been allocated. The latter projects include two feature-length animated films – The Lion Queen by Carlo Vogele and The Last Dinosaur by Federico Milella – which will receive €3 million each.
