French President Emmanuel Macron is urging Danish authorities not to extradite anti-whaling activist and Sea Shepherd founder Paul Watson to Japan, his office said on Tuesday. Watson was arrested in Greenland on Sunday on an international warrant issued by Japan. He faces charges for interfering with a Japanese whaling ship in the Antarctic Sea in 2010.
