Martin Moosbrugger from the Bregenz road maintenance department explains that a small area of road repair is being carried out between the eastern entrance of the Achraintunnel and the L15. This work will only be carried out at night. However, as Moosbrugger explains to VOL.AT, due to the current road surface restrictions, a speed limit of 30 mph is imposed in the area of the construction site. This is intended to ensure the safety of road users.

“We can only work at night”

The following evening the mountain road to Schwarzach will be finished again,” he explains. “We can only work at night.” The surface is milled at night from Monday to Tuesday. Between 8 pm and 6 am traffic is restricted to one lane, with manual regulation. Commuters are reassured: there is no need for a complete closure and the work will be finished by the morning of July 25.
