Emergency services reported on Sunday that three people were injured in a traffic accident on the highway to Arlon on Saturday evening.
At around 9pm, a car crashed into a guardrail near Capellen. Ambulances from Mamer and Luxembourg City were called to the scene.
Police also witnessed a car zigzagging on the A3 at around 5:30 a.m. on Sunday. The car left the highway at the Dudelange exit. The patrol found the car in an area close to the French border – it was parked in the middle of the opposite lane with the engine still running. The driver had fallen asleep in the car. When the police woke him up, the driver looked confused and had difficulty speaking, as written in the police report.
The driver had difficulty climbing out of the car on his own and the police had to help him keep his balance. The alcohol test result was positive and the driver had to lose his license.
