In a shocking incident of animal cruelty, a man tied his dog to a two-wheeler and dragged the poor animal on the road for more than a kilometre in a village in Udupi, Karnataka.
A disturbing video has gone viral on social media platforms showing a dog tied to a two-wheeler and dragged along the road by its rider in Udupi district in Karnataka. According to local media reports, the incident took place somewhere between Malur and Silva villages in Udupi district.
Bystanders who witnessed this shocking act of animal cruelty filmed it and shared it on social media, leading the local police to take notice of the incident and register a case against the accused.

In this heartbreaking video, a motorcyclist is seen dragging a dog along the road. The poor animal appears to be unconscious from injuries and is tethered to the motorcycle with a steel chain.
The suspect reportedly dragged the helpless dog for more than a kilometer.
Meanwhile, Udupi police said they have arrested the suspect – a resident of Malur village – and registered a case against him under Section 11(1)(D)(F)(G) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960.
A senior police officer said the disturbing incident took place between Malur and Silva villages.
“A man in Malur tied his dog to a motorcycle with a chain and dragged it. The horrific act was recorded by bystanders and widely shared on social media. We have registered an FIR against the man under Section 11(1)(D)(F)(G) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960,” Udupi Police Commissioner Dr Arun told reporters.
The man claimed that the dog was already dead when he tied it to the two-wheeler and dragged it, police said.
However, the police are verifying his statement, the officer said, adding that the case is under further investigation.
