Yesterday morning, the inauguration took place at the construction site of the Montecchio ConSums Arena, an ambitious project born from the collaboration between the NOC, the Mutoso Corso League and the San Marino Giuoco Calcio Federation. The ConSums Arena is a new tensile structure located in the Montecchio Sports Center, a multifunctional facility that will be used not only for sports activities, but also for social purposes, for the benefit of all citizens. Created by construction and service companies, the project is designed to host sports and academic events, competitive events and recreational activities. During the ceremony, the project was explained by Marino Albani, the tri-president of the Mutoso Corso League, Gian Primo Giardi, the president of the San Marino National Olympic Committee, and Marco Tura, the tri-president of the San Marino Giuoco Calcio Football Federation. The Minister of Sports, Teodoro Lonfernini, also stepped in to emphasize the importance of this new structure for the community. The idea of the ConSums Arena was born as early as 2019, but was slowed down by the pandemic. At present, the project has taken shape and is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
