More than 1,700 competitors from 12 countries have registered for the 28th Balkan Children’s Karate Championship, which will be held in Istanbul, Turkey from May 31 to June 2. Representatives from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, the Republic of North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey will compete for the honor.
Four representatives of the Lokomotiv Karate Club will participate in the competition – Eren Karbash (Men’s Kata, 2012), Alexander Chichekliev (Men’s Kata, 2012, 37 kg), Kaya Borisova (Women’s Kata, 2013, under 32 kg) and Simona Kostova (Best Women, 2013, over 44 kg).
In Türkiye, the young players will be led by coach Vasil Rivov.
