The solution to all the moral problems in the country right now is the Quran, said Mohammed Mu’izoo.
The President, speaking at a ceremony to announce the results of the National Quran Reading Competition, said the solution to all moral problems in Sri Lanka is the Quran and we should return to it. He said the divine instructions in the book should be followed in both words and deeds, adding that the Quran should be the source of daily life.
The president said the government will give special priority to making the Holy Quran the most important companion in the educational life of the next generation. He also hopes that the younger generation will see the results of this. He said that there will be a revolutionary reform in teaching and moral behavior.
“My dream is that day. My vision is that day. My goal is that goal,” he said.
The President said the government would be generous and very interested in giving the Holy Quran a high status and position in the Dhivehi land.
