In the past 24 hours, the Fire Safety and Population Protection Unit responded to 250 incident reports and extinguished a total of 204 fires.
The press center of the Council of Ministers announced that Prime Minister Glavchev and the head of the Fire Department are in constant communication about the situation in the country.
The head of the General Directorate “Fire Safety and Population Protection”, Chief Commissioner Alexander Dyatov, reported to Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev that the fight to extinguish the fire continues and serious mobilization work is underway.
The head of the PBZN General Directorate noted that at this stage the efforts of firefighters are concentrated in the regions of Haskovo, Stara Zagora, Kyustendil and Plovdiv. The worst situation is near the village of Mustrak in the Svilengrad region, where strong winds prevent the localization of the fire. High-throughput equipment was provided for this purpose. Two Air Force helicopters also took part in the firefighting efforts.

Yesterday, the fire spread to two other settlements, necessitating the collection of protective equipment and the evacuation of four residents of the village of Ravna Gora.
The BTA added that even today, military personnel are involved in firefighting efforts in various parts of the country.
