French people plan to poop in the Seine

France is launching a special campaign to encourage citizens to defecate together in the Seine River, which runs through Paris.

The sub-style name of the event is “Je Chie dans la Seine le 23 juin”, which means “Fuck to the Seine on June 23”.

The seizure began on messaging service X, where the same hashtag began circulating last week. Emmanuel Macron and the Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo It was announced that they would go swimming in the river on June 23rd.

The background is the Seine River cleaning project for the Paris Summer Olympics, which the authorities spent nearly 1.5 billion euros on. The city of Paris and the organizers of the Olympics wanted the Olympics to be held on the Seine River like the 1900 Paris Olympics. The opening ceremony of the Olympics was also held on the river as an exception.

Raging waterways have been the bane of French and Parisian policymakers for decades, and Macron and Hidalgo pledged to take a dip in the Seine themselves to prove their efforts were not in vain.

The Poop Movement is protesting the price tag of the cleanup project. Rapture’s slogan can be freely translated into Finnish: “They led us to poop, so now they can swim in our poop.”

The Stink campaign has also set up a website where you can indicate how close you are to Paris. The site’s calculator calculates how long it would take for water from the Seine to travel from where you live to Paris – that is, when the demand would need to be made on the river to reach the capital when top politicians take a swim.

Macron and Hidalgo have serious differences of opinion in their respective countries. However, both of them were selected to continue in their positions in 2022 and 2020.
