The film not only stars Junaid in the lead role, but also Jaideep Ahlawat and Shalini Pandey, with Sharvari Wagh making a special cameo appearance. The makers of the much-anticipated film released a poster on Instagram on May 29, making the audience curious about the release date.

The movie Maharaj is a creative production directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and bankrolled by Aditya Chopra under the banner YRF Entertainment.
About Maharaj
Set in 1862, when there were only three universities in the Indian subcontinent, the film tells the story of Tagore, who had just turned one and India was still recovering from the aftermath of the Indian Mutiny of 1857, which had ignited the spark of freedom. The storyline tells the story of a man who rose to the occasion in a major legal dispute. This true story was revealed in Maharaj after being shrouded for a century and a half.
Netflix has teamed up with Yash Raj Films to bring Karsandas Mulji’s true bravery to the big screen with the film Maharaj, set to premiere on June 14. The film is inspired by a real-life defamation case and highlights Junaid Khan’s impressive acting skills.
Murji was a renowned journalist and social reformer, and an early advocate of women’s rights and social change. He studied at Elphinstone College in Mumbai, where he studied under the renowned scholar and leader Dadabhai Naoroji. Murji stressed the need to allow widows to remarry, stood up for the disadvantaged, and played an important role in promoting social change.
The film Maharaj is directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and features strong actors like Jaideep Ahlawat and Shalini Pandey, with Sharvari also appearing in a cameo role.
