The Saint Lucia Red Cross Society calls on all Saint Lucians to collaborate with it and the rest of the Red Cross Movement and other humanitarian agencies to meet the urgent needs in countries affected by Hurricane Beryl, particularly Grenada and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
“We urgently need donations of non-perishable food items, bottled water, tarps, blankets, personal hygiene items, baby products and cleaning supplies.
“We have arranged for the first batch of emergency supplies to leave the island on Saturday the 6th.day The supplies were delivered to the Grenada Red Cross in July. As requests continue to come in, we will continue to keep the public informed of the needs of those affected.
“All donations can be dropped off at the Saint Lucia Red Cross headquarters in Vigie between 9am and 5pm daily. Please contact our office by calling 452-5582 or emailing (email protected) If you have any questions or concerns,” the local Red Cross chapter noted.
