Customs Auditor of the Independent Administration of Public Revenue (Yad) in Crete and Kos, because they illegally discovered Gas stationresulting in it being sealed for two years.

In particular, after using the information generated by the complaint in the AADE’s appodixi application, it was determined that a handwritten retail receipt was issued for the sale of heating oil, but the receipt had not yet been transmitted to the AADE’s information system. An on-site inspection of the gas station in Heraklion, Crete, revealed incomplete documentation for the fuel in the tanks, which is suspected of smuggling crimes and is currently under investigation.

In Kos, customs inspectors discovered adulterated fuel during a routine check at a hotel on the island. They continued to control petrol stations at the supply point and found the presence of banned fuel at the following locations:

  • Three tank trucks with a total capacity of 5,960 litres
  • Five fuel tanks, containing 1,072 litres of oil and 11,853 litres of petrol.

The fuel has been confiscated and will be returned from tanks and tanker trucks.

At the same time, the case will be handed over to the prosecutor for criminal prosecution, and the due diligence procedure will be immediately initiated to prohibit the supply of fuel to gas station-related companies.
