Under the patronage of Professor Ghada Jabbara, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and led by Prof. Dr. Mona Al-Sabban, the Arab Film and Television Forum event was held in the Creative Center for Arts in the courtyard of the Cairo Opera House, which screened the documentary “Hala Al-Dhafayr” directed by Menha Atta, about the “Panorama Barsha” team, a group of women, recently joined by a group of young people, who perform “Street Theater”, a traveling theater that performs plays and songs among the people of the region, using art to solve problems, is a ray of light that illuminates the work of the Al-Qahira Media students team, which deals with the idea of documentary in a documentary way to illustrate how art can significantly affect the human psyche, Twelve female students from the fourth year of the Faculty of Information at Cairo University participated in this work: “Mena Atta, Habiba Najm El-Din, Walaa Hassan, Farah Ali, Hana Hamed, Haneen Bandar, Nihal Osama, Dina Ali, Heidi Ahmed, Donia Mohamed, Mayada Magdi, Salma Medhat). The work is based on events that took place in the center of Malawi. In the Minya governorate, which included a deeper introduction to the problems of women in Upper Egypt, the theater team was able to shed light on the situation of women in Upper Egypt and how they, through theatrical performances, can actually change some perceptions, such as early marriage, female circumcision, the differences between men and women in command, etc.
