Surkhet, June 15. Hell Knight (HK) Mudders on Saturday won the first National E-Sports Championship 2081. HK Madrasas became the champion after defeating Leo Sports in the final held at Surkhet Virendranagar in Karnali on Friday and Saturday.
Ashish Dahal, secretary general of the eSports Association, the organizers, said that although the two teams had the same score, the HK Mudderers won the championship by eating a lot of chicken dinners.
HK Mudders, the champion, received $250,000. Leo Sports, which came in second, received $180,000. Similarly, Fav Four, which came in third, also received $108,000.
All 16 teams that participated in the PUBG Mobile finals received cash prizes.
Leo X Haitdami of Leo Sports was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP). He received a Techno Pova-6 phone.
The tournament consisted of three events. Gaurav Pudasaini won the eFootball Championship. Similarly, except for Mobile Legends (MLBB) Mobile PUBG, the remaining two events were held online.
After the Nepal Esports Association was officially established, the first competition was held in Karnali Province.
A total of 136 PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds teams, 40 Mobile Legends teams, and 193 eSports players competed in the first National E-Sports Championship qualifiers.
After the qualifiers, 16 mobile PUBG teams competed.
Karnali State Sports Development Board member secretary Vishwamitra Sanjyal, Ishan president Anjan Dhamala, senior vice president Himbikram Keshi, secretary Bal Kumar KC and others presented awards to the winners.
