He will then head to New York for a week of major fundraisers, with his campaign needing to raise money now more than ever as he hopes to thwart Trump’s candidacy.
Trump, who just turned 78, has faced questions about his mental acuity following a series of shocking statements on the campaign trail, but he was fluent and energetic in last night’s head-to-head battle.
But the former president also repeated lies, including about abortion, taxes and the deficit, and initially avoided answering whether he would accept a 2024 election result if it went against him.
