During a House of Representatives sitting today, a minister was asked an urgent question as to why her department had decided to cancel this year’s Food and Drink Festival.
Arbory, Castletown and Male (MHK) Jason Moorhouse asked the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Farming, Clare Barber, how the decision was reached.
Ms Barber responded that a change was needed to focus on a range of smaller events.
She added that attendance had dropped over the past two years at the festival.
