We looked very different in the first 20 minutes.

Austrian coach Ralf Rangnick

Speaking after Austria’s 3-1 win over Poland in Euro 2024 Group D on Saturday, Austria head coach Ralf Rangnick said his side played a different game in the first 20 minutes but then the game became too easy.

Rangnick said his team made the game easier after the first twenty minutes and thought they could score an easy goal, but many players performed poorly.

“It could have been due to pressure, but it shouldn’t happen again,” Rangnick said.

Rangnick said the pressure will not be relieved in the upcoming match against the Netherlands. However, he said he would not be opposed to getting a point in the match and that his team has a chance to advance to the top of the group by winning the last match. He said the most important thing is how his players perform against Poland.

Austria will face the Netherlands in their final group match next Tuesday.
