“I am very happy to present this award to Giacomo Ferrara, a very young but professional Italian actor who, through his interpretations, even in difficult and uncomfortable roles, promotes fundamental values. These are the values that Marlù brings to its dissemination and concrete activities targeting social issues” – said Marta Fabbri, presenting the award to the actor – “This award seeks to recognize the concrete value that words have and to thank witnesses and spokespersons who provide an important message to the new generations, because today’s children need someone to believe in and identify with based on a language similar to theirs”.
From Thursday 13 to Saturday 15 June, in Palermo, Marlù is the official partner of On Air. Season 1 is a project that combines the world of TV series and cinema with social issues, rewarding films, shorts and TV series that speak to the world of new generations by choosing themes that are usually difficult to tackle.
The aim is to delve into the most pressing social challenges of our time, with speakers being actors who bring to life characters on both the small and big screens.
The three-day event, conceived and directed by Simona Gobbi and organized in partnership with the Federico II Foundation (thanks to President Gaetano Galvagno), saw the who’s who of Italian cinema in the churches and oratory of Sant’Elena and Constantine: Claudia Giardini, Marco Giardini, Selena De Ferrari, Giacomo Ferrara, Anna Amirati. And the short film “The Performer”parachute”, produced by Versus, Lupin Film and Simona Gobbi, with the collaboration of Marlù, among which Jenny De Nucci, Giacomo and Giovanni Nasta, Greta Ragusa, Lucia Balordi and Niccolò Senni stand out.
Marlù chose to immediately promote and accept this project, since one of the fundamental aims of the event held in Palermo is to aim to create a concrete dialogue between the entertainment industry and today’s society.
Over three days, there were interviews and keynote speeches on the world of cinema, the roles and spaces for women in front of and behind the camera, gender issues, bullying and liberation, and the importance of training in the audiovisual sector which can and must play a major role in driving social change.
