After a week of intense competition, 18 calypso contestants have been selected to advance to the semi-finals of the Calypso Monarch Competition, which will be held this Sunday (June 23) at the National Cultural Center.
The quarter-finals of the Calypso Contest were held at the National Cultural Centre Tent Theatre over four nights. Calypso singers in four tents performed for the judges and calypso enthusiasts. The 18 calypso singers who made it to the semi-finals are listed in alphabetical order as follows:
