Ukraine win intensifies group competition

Ukraine beat Slovakia 1-0 in Group E of the UEFA Euro 2024 on Saturday. Ukraine won 2-1 after Slovakia scored.

Ukraine’s victory means three of the four teams in Group E have three points. These teams are Romania, Ukraine and Slovakia. Belgium is at the bottom of the group with no points. Ukraine and Slovakia have played two games, with Ukraine losing to Romania in the first one. Slovakia beat Belgium in their first game. Belgium and Romania have played only one game so far. Four teams in this group still have a chance to advance to the second round.
