PDCS continues negotiations on government agreement

Yesterday afternoon, the PDCS management met to determine the strategy for forming a new government under the Regent’s mandate, based on the election results and the signs emerging from the political forces that met last week.

The criteria that served as a reference in the meetings between members of the management were those explained in the electoral platform of our coalition, namely the recognition that “the next government requires a new level of competence, seriousness, capacity for action and unity of intention”, in addition to the confirmation of a high level of institutional representativeness… Therefore, a relationship of trust between the political forces that make up this body is necessary, without which any type of cooperation would be futile.

In order to implement this intention, it was decided during the meeting that the Democratic and Freedom Alliance would conduct more in-depth discussions with all political forces that expressed a positive willingness to cooperate, from the Liberal Party/PS-PS, with which some elements of convergence had already emerged before the electoral consultations.

To this end, consultation meetings have been scheduled in the coming days to assess Convergence of themesforming the foundation of the foundationA profitable and lasting alliance.

The results of these meetings will again be reported to the governing bodies of the PDCS and the Alleanza Riformista to make a final decision on the possibility of forming a new majority and a new government.
