Peñarol reported through its official channels that it has reached an agreement with Toluca for midfielder Leo Fernandez to remain with the club, with the Uruguayan now on loan until the end of 2024.

The Montevideo representative even thanked the Mexican club. Mania highlighted the image of the executive president, Francisco Suinaga Conde, thanking “the will he has always shown so that Liorio can continue to wear our jersey.”

Leo Fernández, who trained in the youth division of Fénix, passed through the Universidad de Chile in 2019 and subsequently spent a long time between Toluca and Tigres in Mexico, arrived on loan last year to strengthen the team.
