Lebanon’s Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah warned in a televised speech that the movement’s fighters would fight “without rules” and “without restrictions” if hostilities with Israeli troops escalated into a wider war.
He explained that no part of Israel is safe from Hezbollah’s attacks, even speaking of possible targets in the Mediterranean. “The (Israeli) enemy knows very well that we are prepared for the worst! He knows that there is no place (…) that can escape our missiles,” Nasrallah said, adding that Israel should “wait for us on land, at sea and in the air.”

Hezbollah attacked an Israeli warship during the 2006 war.
Analysts say Hezbollah’s military, which has been fighting the Syrian civil war alongside President Bashar al-Assad, has been equipped with Russian-made Yakhont anti-ship missiles in Syria for years.
Threat to Cyprus
Hassan Nasrallah issued his first threat against Cyprus today, stressing that Hezbollah might consider getting involved in a war if it allows Israel to use its airports and bases to launch attacks on Lebanon.
“The Cypriot government must be warned that opening Cypriot airports and bases to Israeli troops against Lebanon means the Cypriot government is involved in a war, and the resistance, including Hezbollah, will see it as involvement in a war,” Nasrallah said.
As Reuters points out, Cyprus has occasionally allowed Israel to use its airspace for military exercises in the past, but never during the conflict. He also noted that the British armed forces have used the two bases it maintains in Cyprus to carry out operations in Syria and, more recently, in Yemen.
