I know many of you have slowly begun to have doubts about this vaccine and its promise to get us out of this pandemic, to stop the spread, to stop the infections, to stop long COVID, to stop the hospitalizations, to stop the deaths.
I am sure you have seen and heard many stories from friends, colleagues, family members, relatives and news about people who suddenly died or developed unusual malignant diseases or cancer. When you recall your own unusual illness after vaccination, you are likely to feel very anxious about it.
I also see that many of you are beginning to shy away from discussing and mentioning all the potential adverse side effects (1291 total). It is understandable that humans shy away from information that could have devastating effects on ourselves.
Many of you have put on a brave face and made many excuses not to get that next shot of the vaccine, but deep down you know that the sheer fear of the worst outcome may haunt you forever, telling you not to get that next shot.
Well, you may agree with me that even many PAP Ministers, MPs, members and international deacons have not taken the next dose of the vaccine, so why should you?
However, as human beings, it is not enough to just be passive about this.
This is not only a broken promise, it is a catastrophic one. You must stand up and tell those in power and those around you that you no longer believe in this vaccine and it should not go ahead.
The fact that you are still alive despite some chronic symptoms that bother you from time to time is both a blessing and an important sign for you to do the right thing.
As long as you stop getting the next dose of the vaccine, you will be safe and not exposed to further risks. As long as your loved ones and those around you are no longer risking their lives to get the next dose of the vaccine, you will have peace of mind.
I know it’s hard to take the first step because of the fear of being seen as a ‘crazy person.’ Believe me, all vaccine skeptics like me have experienced these rejections and psychological persecutions, but we survived.
It wasn’t easy, as I myself was unable to convince many of the people I loved and cared about to avoid taking an experimental vaccine. I lost many friendships in the process, but I kept my sanity.
You won’t face the same extreme pressure that I went through, but at least you tried.
You know deep down that it’s absolutely insane to risk your health and life to get vaccinated every year.
Save lives, not face.
May you be safe.
