Alka Yagnik, a famous Bollywood singer, has revealed that she has been diagnosed with a rare form of sensorineural hearing loss.

Bollywood’s famous singer Alka Yagnik has revealed that she has been diagnosed with a rare condition called ‘sensoriatic nerve sensory loss’. She added that the ‘sudden and major setback’ caught her off guard and she is still trying to overcome it. The famous singer posted a long post on Instagram on Monday thanking her friends and fans, explaining why she had ‘disappeared’ and asking for their ‘support and understanding’.

The caption reads: “Doctors diagnosed my condition as a rare type of sensorineural hearing loss, caused by a viral infection… This sudden and major setback caught me off guard. Please pray for me as I try to come to terms with it. To my fans and young colleagues, I want to remind everyone to avoid very loud music and headphones.”

Se continued: “One day, I hope to share with you the health risks of my career. With all your love and support, I hope to restructure my life and return to you soon. Your support and understanding mean a lot to me at this critical time…”
