– Jamaican reggae singer Romain Virgo will be rocking the stage at the World Creole Music Festival (WCMF) performing his beloved rock and roots reggae music at Festival City, Windsor Park Stadium, Roseau, Dominica at midnight on Saturday, October 28, 2017. The former Digicel Rising Star winner will be making his debut on the biggest stage in Creole music in the world and is preparing to perform many of his hits with his smooth voice and unique performance style. With three albums and a string of hits to date, the VP Record and chart-topping artist is sure to please every fan and festival-goer. His covers and other hits include Adel’s “Don’t You Remember Me,” the hit song “Cry Tears for You,” “Soul Provider,” “Taking You Home,” “Mi Caan Sleep” and many more. A natural singer, Roman Virgo is an innovative and dynamic singer who has brought love and smooth beats to the reggae music scene in the Caribbean and around the world over the past decade. His cover of Sam Smith’s hit song “Stay With Me” has made him one of the most versatile singers in the Caribbean, and his cover version is particularly popular in the Caribbean. He follows in the footsteps of singers such as Sanchez who have made their names by covering international hits, and their smooth and beautiful voices have earned them huge global appeal. The 20th World Creole Festival of the Dominican Republic will be held from October 27 to 29, 2017 at the Windsor Park Stadium in Roseau, Dominica. A line-up of top local, regional and international acts covering all aspects of Creole music, from the dynamic Bouyon to the sweet and dynamic Soca and Calypso, Reggae, Afro-Funk, Haitian Kompas to the dynamic Cadence-lypso and Zouk, awaits patrons.
