Stakeholders of the 2024 Carnival have raved about this year’s teen calypso event.

They were delighted by the active involvement of the school, with students, teachers and tutors all involved in preparing for the celebrations. They were particularly impressed by the standard set by the young calypso singers performing on stage and the confidence they displayed.

One key stakeholder mentioned that the event was designed to not only involve experienced calypso singers but also aspiring young artists through activities such as school tours.

“This tour includes visits to 16 kindergartens, primary schools and secondary schools across the island, and we will be bringing Carnival and our culture to children and students in Saint Lucia so they can participate and enjoy something that is truly ours,” said Tamara Gibson, chairperson of the Carnival Management and Planning Committee, in a news release.
